Deerfield Township is accepting resumes to fill one Planning Commissioner position. If you are interested in applying for the position, please submit your resume, including information regarding your qualifications and experience, to the Deputy Supervisor and mail to Deerfield Township 4492 Center Rd, Linden, MI 48451, by January 2, 2017.
Minimum requirements for the position are: must be a Township elector, but property ownership is not required. An elector is defined as someone 18 years of age, who is a US citizen, has lived at the past 30 days in the Township and is registered to vote in the Township. Expertise is not required. Training will be available over the term of office.
The term is three (3) years commencing upon appointment. The Deerfield Township Supervisor makes the appointment with the Board of Trustees approval.
The Planning Commission meets at the Township Hall at 7:30 on the third Thursday of each month. There are also occasional special meetings. Please call 517-546-8760 if you have any questions.
